Lori, here is my perception of who you are based on your book titles:
A remarkable woman with a gift for language and observation, you are a balance between spiritual elegance and down-to-earth causes that speak the voice of everyone. You speak with compelling language, caring about how your words are received and who you touch. You are moved by the histories and anthropologies of people and places that teach you to respect life itself. You care deeply about the conditions of life today and how we are impacting future civilizations. Sometimes academic by nature where you can absorb knowledge and wisdom, the artist and writer finds constant avenues for an active voice that wants to be heard; to leave a legacy of something real, something kind and something respected.

Wow! I am blushing, Genece. I think you have hit upon some things in my life that if I’m not living up to fully, at least I am striving towards. Thank you.

Lori, perhaps you don’t need to “live up to” them at all. Maybe it is just about self-acceptance that you are all of this and much more. A beautiful work of art always in progress. Striving is nice. Believing and accepting brings a different wisdom.

Well said, Genece.
To me you seek poetry in everything, from the landscape to a bowl of soup. I love that.

Your stove does more than feed people, it warms their souls.

I will confess that I have not heard of these books, but I am going hunting on Amazon to find out more about them. The title of The Enchanted Broccoli Forest has me intrigued.
